This morning, as I hurried to catch the bus, my eyes were glued to the phone, absorbed in the latest news. I was so engrossed that I didn’t realize another traveler was heading straight for me until we almost collided.
When I finally looked up, we found ourselves caught in that familiar, awkward dance of dodging each other to pass each other. Although I managed to get past him, the shame persisted throughout my trip.
This scenario is not unique to me. During my trip, I noticed other people crashing into signs, getting into puddles, or missing bus stops entirely.
While podcasts and audiobooks offer great alternatives, most of today’s content is text-based. Sometimes you need to finish reading that memo before you get to the office.
Introducing the ElevenLabs Reader App
The ElevenLabs Reader app allows you to listen to any text content using ElevenLabs’ high-quality voices while you’re on the go. This app transforms your text library (articles, PDFs, ePubs, newsletters, or any other text on your phone) into an audio experience. With our extensive and ever-expanding voice library, you can choose a voice to suit any content, mood, or situation.

Our mission is to make content accessible in any language and voice. Everything we do is focused on achieving this goal.
Developing the best audio models with AI is just the beginning. Content creators need tools to generate audio and consumers need interfaces to access it. Some of these interfaces are created by us, while others are developed by teams using our API.

Offline support and sharing: Download content for offline listening and share audio clips with friends.
More languages: Currently the app only supports English. It will soon include all 29 languages (and counting) supported by our multilingual model.
More ways to add content: RSS feeds, AI roundups, and more.
